French President Emmanuel Macron and Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic have earned praise from fans worldwide for their charm and encouraging players to the hilt during FIFA 2018. Macron joined the victory celebrations in the players' locker room after the French became world champions for the second time. A video of Kitarovic’s visit to the Croatian team had gone viral after their match winning performances before the final. Russian President Vladimir Putin too braved the rain and stayed put at the stadium during the final.
