Vadodara: Soon, a 108 ambulance will be stationed at the district court complex in Diwalipura. The principal district and sessions judge wrote to GVK-EMRI, to station an ambulance on the court campus to make for a quick response in case of medical emergencies.
The emergency service provider was approached after the court witnessed a couple of medical emergencies. The judge stated that a large number of people including court staff, lawyers and litigants and others visit the court complex every day.

As the court building and its parking area is large, an ambulance may take a long time to reach the building. The judge therefore requested the emergency services provider to station one ambulance on the court campus from 8am to 8pm.

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) from Jawaharnagar police station and a court clerk had died from cardiac arrest at the court complex, while a litigant had collapsed due to the heat in May. In the case of the ASI, the ambulance could not make it in time because it was impeded on the campus by barricades. The barricades were later removed.
