The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera pushes the marque’s GT cars into an entirely new performance category, and in the process has fueled petrolheads’ imagination about an even more hardcore variant.

Enter the DBS Superleggera AMR, created by rendering artist Allcarnews.

Following the recent launch of the Aston Martin DB11 AMR, it’s become obvious that the British automaker wants to increase the number of performance-focused vehicles it sells. A DBS Superleggera AMR could top out the road-going AMR family and, while the automaker has said nothing, we think it’d make for a great range-topper.

Visual changes between the fictional AMR and the standard DBS Superleggera are minor and the only thing you’ll notice are a few bright yellow accents on the front and rear fascias. If such a car were to see the light of day, we think it’d adopt some more obvious upgrades, including bespoke wheels and a host of new carbon fiber parts.

If recent form is anything to go off, a DBS Superleggera AMR could very well be produced.

On paper, the DBS Superleggera appears to be an absolute animal. Aston Martin‘s 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 has been extensively modified to deliver 715 HP and 663 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels, the super GT can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds and continue through to a 211 mph (339 km/h) top speed.

If Aston Martin were to create a Superleggera AMR, we’d expect grunt to climb towards the 750 HP mark, inching the car closer to the almighty Ferrari 812 Superfast.
