City ITI celebrates Youth Skill Day

The Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Bhubaneswar with the special ITI for handicapped, Jatani celebrated the World Youth Skill Day on Sunday.

Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena gracing as chief guest advised the trainees to be skilled as a skilled youth lives a life with dignity by enhancing his economic and social self-respect.

He encouraged the mission taken by Nininee Tripathy ATO of Dress Making Trade of   ITI Bhubaneswar  for free distribution of bags which is made from waste clothes to make the Smart City polythene-free.

Principal Er Jeetamitra Satapathy presided over the meeting. She emphasised that one should give importance on social works to be a good human being with skilled one. She praised Youth Red Cross Counsellora and social activist Laxman Swain and the volunteers who provided many services like sweeping, water spraying and carrying patient with stretcher at Rath Yatra in Puri.

Among others, SCTE deputy secretary Bana Bihari Mohanty, Employment Officer Subash Behera, Jatani ITI Principal Er  Umakanta Pattanayak were present. Training officer Nibedita Roy proposed a vote of thanks. Lions Club Lotus member Namita Mohapatra with the Mayor, trainers and trainess  planted threes.
