NALGONDA: Stating that there are clear indications that Assembly elections might be held either in coming November or December, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy once again asked all Congress workers to be prepared for the ensuing polls. “Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has cheated the people on several counts. People are desperately waiting for elections to teach a fitting lesson to him. We should be active at all levels to ensure that we register a landslide victory in ensuing polls,” he told his party on Sunday.

Addressing a meeting of Congress workers of Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency in Nalgonda on Sunday, the TPCC chief said the Congress workers across the State were all charged up and motivated to win the next elections. He said the formation of 14-member booth committees in the Nalgonda LS constituency should be completed. Further, he said, all workers should register themselves with Shakti App.

Modi and KCR secret friends: AICC secretary

Interacting with the party cadres, AICC secretary Saleem Ahmed alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were secret friends. “Modi and KCR came to power by giving false promises,” he said.

Former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also predicted that Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy would not get the TRS ticket in the ensuing polls “as he is set to lose the polls”. Reddy said the new State was being crushed in the hands of “four persons” of KCR’s family.

“The State government is neglecting Srisailam Left Bank Canal project, but is taking steps to complete the Kaleshwaram,” he added.
