Continuing the crackdown on criminals, the Tiruvallur police on Saturday arrested 13 history-sheeters in Minjur.
During a night-long operation carried out by special teams at several places in and around Minjur, the police rounded up more than 100 persons initially.
Of them, police officials identified 13 persons who were involved in crimes in the past. All of them were residents of Minjur and nearby localities.
The vehicle check during the night was carried out based on a tip-off that some history-sheeters were planning to cause unrest in the locality. So a massive operation was carried out on Saturday night resulting in the arrest.
