Two Tito aides arrested by Special Task Force

KENDRAPARA: Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch arrested notorious gangster Sheik Usman Ali alias Tito’s two associates identified as S K Sayed and Babula Pati. Over 25 cases of loot, extortion and other crimes were registered against Sayed and Pati, who were allegedly working as henchmen for Tito.

Police sources said Sayed and Pati were nabbed from different areas on Saturday night. STF officers are also probing use of river beds allegedly leased out illegally to Tito and his associates in Kendrapara and Jajpur districts for carrying out sand mining. The agency has issued letters to the tehsildars of Kendrapara, Mahakalapada, Pattamundai ,Garadpur, Marsaghai, Dharmasala and Balichandrapur asking them to provide all information and documents related to the tendering process of sand mining.
