Kaithal: Solan police have arrested a 34-year-old woman, her paramour and one more person for the murder of woman’s husband. While the woman has been identified as Anita, the other accused is Ajay, who claims to be an occultist. The third accused has been identified as Ajay’s father Ashok. The accused reportedly killed Rishipal (48) in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh and buried his body in a 15-feet-deep pit and covered it with concrete in Kyodak village of Kaithal district in Haryana.
Rishipal hailed from Shamli district of Uttar Pardesh and was married in Kyodak village of Kaithal district in Haryana. He was employed with the Khadi Board department in Solan and had been living there with his family.

Solan superintendent of police (SP) Madhusudan told TOI that they had received a complaint from the deceased’s brother on June 17 after which a case of kidnapping was registered at Kasauli police station in Solan. During investigation it was revealed that Anita had illicit relations with Ajay, who belongs to the same village as hers, and he often used to visit their house in Solan.

Ajay and Anita had planned to murder Rishipal due to their affair, the SP said, adding that during investigation Ajay had confessed to his crime and stated that he had murdered Rishipal with Anita’s help and buried the body in 15-feet-deep pit at his home in Kyodak village.

In his confession, Ajay said that they first laced Rishipal’s food with sedative then killed him. Later, Ajay brought the body at his home in Kaithal.

Body of the deceased had been exhumed with help of JCB machine from Ajay’s house and sent for postmortem examination in Solan district, the SP added.

Lalit Kumar, sadar police station house officer (SHO) in Kaithal, said local police had no role in the case and matter was being investigated by the Himachal Pradesh police. He added police have no information of any criminal record against Ajay in the district.
