23-year-old dies of suspected drug overdose

FEROZEPUR: In yet another case of death due to suspected drug overdose, a 23-year-old youth of Gulami Wala passed away on Friday night.
In his statement to the police, deceased’s brother Bhupinder Singh alleged that his brother Jhujhar Singh Jodha was a drug addict, who brought narcotics from one Sukhdev Singh on Thursday.

According to Bhupinder, after consuming the narcotics, Jodha’s condition started deteriorating and he was taken to the civil hospital in Ferozepur from where he was referred to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital in Faridkot where he died on Friday night.

Assistant sub inspector Romesh Masih, who is investing the case, said on the statement of Bhupinder Singh, a case has been registered against Sukhdev Singh alias Soghi, a resident of Gulami Wala village.
