Watch Priyanka Chopra remind you she’s the real desi girl in impromptu dance-off with Rekha

There’s never a bad time for a good old throwback, and this one featuring Priyanka Chopra and Rekha is a particularly enjoyable one. Both Bollywood divas, legends in their own right, had a blast dancing to Kishore Kumar’s Rafta Rafta at an IIFA ceremony.

The video, shared by a fan account, shows an animated Priyanka coaxing Rekha into dancing with her. At first, Rekha plays it coy, but soon, she’s in the groove, matching steps with Priyanka on the floor. Of course, the song was originally a part of Rekha’s 1973 film, Kahani Kismat Ki, and Priyanka was playing Dharmendra’s part.

The video is a nice reminder of a time when Priyanka was one of Bollywood’s biggest stars. She’s lately moved her focus to the international market, and has appeared in the thriller show Quantico and a handful of Hollywood films such as Baywatch, A Kid Like Jake and Isn’t it Romantic?.

But the actor has announced her plans of returning to Bollywood. She will appear opposite Salman Khan in the upcoming Bharat and will star in director Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink.

Priyanka has been recently making headlines for her rumoured relationship with actor-singer Nick Jonas. While the two have neither confirmed nor denied the relationship, they’ve been spotted at several locations around the world together, including at a week-long vacation in India.

Rekha, meanwhile, is a perennial figure at Bollywood award functions, usually wearing her trademark silk sarees.
