Those shedding crocodile tears should be asked about their incomplete farm projects: Narendra Modi

Launching a scathing attack against Opposition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said those who are shedding crocodile tears for farmers today should be asked about incomplete agriculture projects during their tenure.
"Those who are shedding crocodile tears for farmers today should be asked why didn't they complete irrigation projects throughout the nation during their tenure," Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi said while dedicating Bansagar canal project to the nation, in Mirzapur Uttar Pradesh.
"Those who are indulging in politics in the name of farmers had no time to raise the prices of MSP (Minimum Support Price). They sat on files," Modi said.
Prime Minister said previous government left projects incomplete and this led to delay in development for more than two decades.
"Previous government used to come up with incomplete projects and stall them. Had this project been completed beforehand, you would have been benefited by it two decades back," Modi said.
"Rs 300 crore project has now costed Rs 3,000 crore as government wasted 40 years time," Modi added..
Modi said since BJP-NDA govt has come to power, the development work in Purvanchal has accelerated and its results can be seen by everyone today.
