U'khand: Order prescribing charges for rescue operations revoked

The on Sunday revoked its notification that had contained charges to be levied on availing helicopters during rescue operations at the time of disasters.

As per the new notification, issued today, two extra helicopters have been added and all charges levied on the earlier at the time of disaster have been waived off.

The department, in its notification, had said that the charges for the normal passengers availing helicopters in Pithoragarh during rescue operations at the time of disaster, will be fixed at Rs 3,100 (including GST) per person.
