It is somehow fitting that host Grant Denyer has claimed a Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television just as his show has been cancelled; commercial broadcasting in this country is less about ups and downs than merely staying in the game. The buoyant, boyish host is already scheduled for a new gameshow with Ten, and chances are that Family Feud, having been revived three times now, will also return at some point.Will it be missed? Not hugely. The format is clunky, although its link to television's past was always welcome.
