India today signed a revised travel agreement with Bangladesh to ease visa restrictions for citizens from the neighbouring country. The agreement was signed between the two countries here in presence of visiting Home Minister Rajnath Singh and his counterpart Asaduzzaman Khan.

According to sources under the Revised Travel Arrangement (RTA)-2018, freedom fighters and elderly Bangladeshi nationals will get five year multiple visa from India. Both leaders also held the 6th Home Minister Level Talks between India and Bangladesh.
Mr Singh offered prayers at Dhakeshwari Temple in Dhaka. He also visited Bangabandhu Museum and paid tributes to the father of the Nation of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Mr Singh had reached Dhaka on Friday on a three-day visit to Bangladesh. The Home Minister called on Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday and discussed issues of mutual concern, including terrorism. He also inaugurated India’s largest visa centre in the world to reduce the waiting time for applicants.
