16100 cases disposed in Lok Adalat

A total of 16,100 cases were disposed of in the National Lok Adalat was organised by Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority across the State under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority on Saturday.  The Lok Adalat were held in all the courts across the State, where amount of Rs 28,15,88,076 were settled.

Body of Bus conductor found in bus

The body of Shiv Delux bus conductor namely Yogendra Tiwari (24 was found dead inside bus today at Saria Police Station in Giridih district, which was parked by driver Mumtaz Ansari who later managed to flee from spot, police said. Yogendra Tiwari, a resident of Giridih was working as a conductor. The bus has been running inbetween Dhanbad to Ghorthamba in Giridih and meanwhile the accident took place. According to reports the deceased father has given written complaint to the police  station blaming that his son was murdered by Dadu Rai , Mumtaz Ansari and Ranjit Singh. The police has lodged a case of murdered and stated its investigation

Free legal service at Rath Mela

A free legal assistance cum empowerment and service camp was organized during the historical Rath Yatra Mela at Jagannathpur in Ranchi on Saturday by District Legal Services Authority undere the guidance of Jharkhand Legal Services Authority. More than 9000 persons visited the camp and took information about free legal services scheme and 10 point programme of National Legal Services Authority as well as their legal rights and duties on first day of the camp.

IMS to begin new session

Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Ranchi University (RU) will begin the new academic session on July 16 with induction cum orientation programme. Several eminent persons of corporate world are expected to attended the induction session and address the management students on different subjects. Students enrolled in different management streams have been asked to report latest by 9:45 AM on college campus.

An I-pad Air belonging to the Chief Post Master General’s Office has been missing since July 8 from Kokar, Nayatoli area. The office has announced appropriate reward for the person who could trace it and make it reach Postal Inspector Chandan Kumar at 7485807038.
