Police distribute stationary items among students

Under the Civic Action Programme, the Bokaro Thermal Police stationed at Shankar UM school of BTPS in Bokaro district distributed copies and note books among all students of Shankar Utkramit Middle School, BTPS here on Friday, Sources said.

The function was presided over by Officer-in charge Prameshwar Leyangi of Bokaro Thermal Police Station. All items were distributed among needy and poor students of Government school at its school campus on Friday morning, said school head Shyama Kumari.

Stating that the programme was organised to strengthen the bond between police forces and local needy kids , Leyangi emphasised on the need of giving support to those school kids who have no access to education, because of shortage of resources. He said that in future also police will leave no stone unturned to contribute towards education of children, especially girls ,in whatever way possible.

Civic action programme is one of the many programmes envisaged by the government to act as a bridge between the security forces and the local people. The immediate necessary requirements of the populace are met through various programmes which are area specific and need based .Winning the hearts and minds is the basic essence of works undertaken during civic action, said Bokaro SP, Karthik S.
