9 minors rescued from J’suguda rly station

Childline officials on Friday rescued nine minors from the Jharsuguda railway station with the help of Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.

Childline coordinator Ashish Kumar Panda said after performing prayers on Thursday morning, these minors had fled from the Bargarh Madrasa.

They had planned to go to Tatanagar by Ispat Express. While one minor belonged to Tatanagar, other eight were from Bokaro.  All the minors are in the age of 10 and 16 years.

Alleging indiscipline by the management, the minors said to have fled from the Madrasa. The minors were produced before the district Child Welfare Committee, which later sent them to Child Welfare Committee at Bargarh with the help of Childline.

RPF officer Pratap Rout, M Haldar, Saroj Kumar, Vikram Kumar and Childline centre coordinator Ashish Kumar Panda and member Satish Chandra Mishra participated in the rescue operation of the minors.
