17-day cleaning campaign launched in city

Coimbatore: The ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship on Sunday launched a 17-day cleaning campaign in the city as part of the World Youth Skill Day programme.
It is to be noted that the ministry, which had taken over the administration of Jan Shikshan Sansthans (JSS), has taken up the cause of Swachh Bharat Mission. The campaign is being conducted through Avinashilingam Jan Shikshan Sansthan under the banner Sill Se Sampurn Swachhta.It will feature puppet shows, rallies, health camps, cleaning drives, tree plantation drives and competitions across the district in collaboration with various stakeholders.
