Dance, music and fun witnessed at Carmel Convent

Dance, music and fun marked the closing ceremony of the Golden Jubilee Year celebrations of the Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School on Saturday.

The event was organised by Carmel Ex-Students Association (CESA). The event began with felicitating the meritorious students who scored highest marks in class XII. Ishita with 97%,Chetna Patel and Yatish Patel were among the top three to be conferred with trophies. CESA along with chief guest Archbishop Father Leo Cornelio also conferred cash prizes to students of Carmel Hindi Medium who scored well in their examinations.

“It is always an honour to stand by our school who has been contributing to uplift the needy through education. In this one year, we have been extensively working on various issues like tree plantation, awareness campaigns, education and health. I appeal to all the newly pass outs to be a part of CESA and contribute to the society,” CESA Vice President Sapna Chawdhury said in her address.

The evening was followed with the saw dance and music performances by students of the school.

It is to be noted that the ex-students of Carmel Convent Girls School have established their association called CESA. The school has completed its 50 years in year 2017 in school providing top class education to students.

To celebrate the successful 50 years CESA organised a year long golden jubilee event. The event began in city on July 23, 2017 with sapling plantation, followed by car rally and many more events in city.
