Serial actor, sister move HC for bail

Malayalam television actor Surya Sashikumar and her sister Sruthi on Friday approached the High Court seeking bail in a case related to the seizure of counterfeit currency notes.

KOCHI: Malayalam television actor Surya Sashikumar and her sister Sruthi on Friday approached the High Court seeking bail in a case related to the seizure of counterfeit currency notes.

The Vandanmedu-Idukki police had earlier seized the printer and paper used for printing the fake notes from their house.

According to the prosecution, the first, second and third accused printed counterfeit currency notes of `200 denomination at the house of the fourth accused Rema Devi, who is the mother of the petitioners.

According to the petition, they are innocent and has no knowledge or participation in the offence.
