CHENNAI: A meeting for eminent artists, creators and sculptors was held at the Chennai Rail Museum’s Art Gallery in ICF on Thursday.In the meeting, the artists lauded the efforts taken to beautify Chennai Rail Museum. While addressing the gathering artist Tejomaye Menon said that there were seven arts and sculpture camps held at the museum, which was attended by renowned artists like Veera Santhanam and Trotsky Maruthu. One such camp was ‘She Train’ to commemorate International Women’s Day where renowned and budding female artists participated. In 18 months the art gallery has managed to gather 29 sculptures made from scrap materials and 109 drawings on both railway and non-railway themes, she added.

Asma Menon made a power point presentation on various art works, sculptures and explained their uniqueness. She appreciated ICF Team for taking up the cause of arts and promoting it. Art critic, Sadanand Menon, echoed her statement and said eminent artists and sculptors should ensure regular gatherings to discuss and share ideas of art and creations.
