Dubbing the ongoing review of the development works of the Assembly constituencies a farce, Congress MLA from Kedarnath Manoj Rawat said that the State Government has no fund left in the State plan to implement the projects pompously declared by the CM.

The Congress MLA who attended the review meeting of the CM on the day accused the State Government of meting out a step-motherly treatment towards his constituency. “The discrimination is unmistakable. The CM has so far made 31 announcements for Karanprayag and 24 for Badrinath, but for Kedarnath he has made only seven,’’ he said.

Taking pot shots at the State Government, Rawat said that over the past 10 to 12 months,  just letters of the CM’s announcements have reached the officials, adding that till date, estimate of not even a single project has been done.

He claimed that since there is no fund left in State plan there is no possibility of the projects being executed in the near future.

The Congress MLA   claimed that while the State Government has only made an announcement for an Anganwadi Centre in Kedarnath, he had set up 15 modern Anganwadi centres with the help of TATA group.

Asked to comment on the Kedarnath MLA’s  charge of discrimination involving the Congress-represented constituencies, the Senior Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik said that as a matter of fact, the Kedarnath MLA has sought no scheme for his area. “All the seven declarations have been made by CM on his own. Had the Kedarnath MLA demanded more schemes for his area he would have got it,’’ Kaushik said.
