Officials’ apathetic attitude continues

On one hand the State Government is making ambitious plans to provide better connectivity and install ultra modern warning system for natural disasters like cloud burst and earthquake, there seems to be no change in the attitude of the Government officials responsible for implementing these schemes. An example of such apathetic attitude was witnessed during the review meeting of the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Friday when video conferencing link with Tharali and Rudraprayag could not be established.

This ensured that these Assembly segments had to left out of the review. Notably, the date of CM’s programme was announced  much in advance but the snapping of connectivity before such an important event suggests the easy going attitude of officials and exposes the ground reality of cyber connectivity in the Himalayan State.

The State Government spokesperson Madan Kaushik said that the technical snag caused the problem and a separate date would be announced for the review of these Assembly constituencies.
