YADADRI BHUVANAGIRI: A woman climbed a cell phone tower in Valigonda Mandal headquarters on Friday demanding to be married to her lover.

V Jyothi, a resident of Chandupatla village, Bhuvanagiri mandal is working in a software company in Hyderabad and had been in a relationship with a man named R Bhasker from the past eight years.

Jyothi said that Bhasker had agreed to marry her but she had found out they he was making preparations to marry someone else. On Friday, she climbed the cell tower threatening to jump from it if Bhasker did not marry her.

Bhuvanagiri RDO Bhupal Reddy, ACP Srinivas Reddy and other officials convinced her and promised that the marriage would happen according to her wishes, after which she finally agreed to come down.
