KOTA: Para commando Mukut Bihari Meena (25) was on Saturday morning cremated with national honour at his native place Ladaniya village in Khanpur area of Jhalawar.
Thousands of the people from across Hadouti region, army, police and administrative officials paid tributes to the
martyr. Five-month-old daughter of the martyred Aarvi performed the last rites.
Prior to last rites, additional district collector, Jhalawar, Bhawani Singh Palawat read out to the public the condolence message by chief minister Vasundhra Raje addressed to martyr’s wife Anjana Meena.
The 21 Army
Sikh regiment and personnel of Rajasthan police gave the guard of honour to the martyr with air fire salute by army men.
Martyr’s father Jagannath Meena, though mourned over the death of his young son, was proud of being the father of son who laid down his life for his motherland.
Earlier in the morning, the martyr’s body, laid in army truck flanked with flowery garlands reached Ladaniya village. On the way to his village, the martyr, amid the shower of flowers and petals was paid tribute at several places in the villages. State’s food and supply minister Babulal Verma joined the martyr’s retinue at Khanpur toll plaza.
The state government is standing by the family of martyr in grieved moments and would extend all possible help, support to the family,Babulal Verma said on this occasion. The minister also announced a link road of 1.9 kilometers with the cost of Rs. 3. 37 corer to Ladaniya village from Baran – Khanpur national highway would soon be constructed.
State’s minister Babulal Verma, Kota – Bundi MP Om Birla, public grievances redressal committee chairman Srikrishan Patidar, Jhalawar district collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, local sitting and former MLAs, army officials along with several other prominent personalities were among those who paid a flowerily tribute to the departed soul before cremation.
Lieutenant Col. Rajesh Choudhary of regiment -3 Para (SF) of martyr’s regiment who accompanied the body told Mukut Behari displayed extraordinary courage and gallantly while taking on the militants in Kupawada on Wednesday afternoon.
Tearful goodbye to CRPF jawan
Alwar: A large number of villagers at Gujjarwali village near Bansur bid a tearful adieu to the CRPF Jawan Sandeep Yadav who attained martyrdom. With patriotic and anti-Pakistan slogans wreath laying ceremony was organised before the mortal remains were consigned to flames amidst honours by the para military force.
Banwari Lal the father of Sandeep was in tears when the mortal remains wrapped in the national flag were handed over to him on Saturday morning.
Those who laid wreath included union minister Rajyavardhan Rathore, state cabinet minister Hemsingh Bhadana and district collector Prakash Raj Rajpurohit.
Sandeep was with the 96th battalion of the CRPF. He was killed on Thursday in a terrorist attack at the Anantnag district of
Jammu and Kashmir.
