Do the right thing

Sir — This refers to the article, “Section 377 and why it should go” (July 13) by Kushan Mitra. Since politicians cannot be expected to show the courage to scrap the ban on homosexuality for fear of losing votes, the highest court of the land can be a step  ahead of the legislature and acknowledge modernity by removing the anachronism from the statute book.
