: The Defence ministry has agreed to examine a proposal for setting up a 'Defence Incubator' for startups in the city.
According to an official release, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, reacting to the state governments request, has conveyed that her ministry would examine the proposal for setting up the incubator under 'Innovations for Defence Excellence' ( iDeX).
Telangana Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao had earlier written a letter to Sitharaman seeking her intervention for setting up the defence incubator as the city hosts many defence and aerospace facilities.
The Telangana government may allot exclusive space for the defence incubator in the upcoming phase-II of the 'T-Hub', the release added.
