Betraying lover: Man in lockup after marrying another

Ditching his ‘lover’ proved dear for a man of Madhusudanpur Sasan village under the Sadar police limits in Jagatsinghpur as police detained him following a complaint on the fourth night of his marriage with another woman .As per the complaint, Rabindra Das was in a love relationship with a woman, a divorcee, and has a six-year-old daughter for the last two years. The woman, who works in a shopping mall in Bhubaneswar, had married seven years ago and was staying with her parents after splitting with her husband three years back.

However, Rabindra married another woman at Redhua village under the Raghunathpur police station in the district four days ago.

After knowing this, the divorcee woman along with her father lodged a complaint at the Jagatsinghpur police station. She also produced pictures and videos of her private moments with Rabindra to the cops as evidence. Acting on the complaint, police picked up Rabindra from his house and detained him along with the complainant for interrogation.

Investigation into the matter was on, said police.
