Sharif, daughter on way to Pakistan to face jail

Former Pakistani Sharif and his daughter Nawaz, both sentenced to long jail terms in Avenfield properties corruption case, are due to return home from on Friday to begin their prison sentence.

Authorities deployed 10,000 policemen and blocked several roads in hours ahead of their arrival.

"The authorities have ordered the police to help the in arresting Sharif and his daughter when they arrive here. So of course police will help in this regard," senior police told news.

The three-time was ousted from office last year after a corruption investigation.
