Global city over 1000 acres in Gurugram

Haryana Government is developing a Global City over 1000 acres area in Gurugram. This global city is poised to serve as an important node to Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) sub-region of Haryana and carries an investment potential of USD 15 billion, the Minister said.

As a DMIC initiative, Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) between Gurgaon-Manesar-Bawal, over a length of about 82 kms, would be implemented as joint venture participation between Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) and HSIIDC with an investment of about Rs 17,328 crore. The project would be funded by Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) and has been included in the JICA Rolling Plan, he said.

The state is ready to take the logistics and warehousing sector to the next level and planning to develop north India's largest logistic hub in Narnaul at an estimated cost of one billion US dollars, he added.

The Minister further said that a sum of Rs 224 crore has been invested in various clusters in the state.

The State Government would set up mega food park project at industrial Estate Barhi Phase III, over an area of about 75 acres  with an investment of about  Rs 177 crore which would  generate  employment opportunity for about 12,000 persons, he added.
