CM for global recognition to Shravani Mela

Chief Minister Raghubar Das today stressed on making efforts to make Shravani Mela of Deoghar and Vasukinath renowned globally.  While reviewing Baba Baidyanath Dham Vasukinath pilgrimage area development authority here on Thursday the CM said that there should be uninterrupted arrangement of clean drinking water and electricity. Kanwaria should feel that they are entering land of God, he said.

The CM said that fair should be monitored with integrated monitoring system so it could be seen live in the Chief Minister's office and its supervision can be done. He said that participation of people, social organizations and political parties, NCC, Scouts and Guides should be increased. He said that a DIG will be in charge for Baba Baidyanath Dham and Vasukinath and will see the entire management including traffic.

The CM said that during the fair, Shilpgram Handicraft Fair should be organized for branding and selling of products made by tribal communities. During review of the preparations for fair, he said that cleanliness; route lining etc should be fully monitored. Police should work in three shifts. All the officers should be alert, patient and maintain co-ordination among themselves. He said that promotional campaign of fair should be done at the national level. Content of the campaign should be precise and show arrangement for the Kanwariyas primarily.

The CM said that after the fair, there will be a high level meeting, in which preparation for the coming 50 years will be discussed. On the request of the CM, Jarmundi MLA Badal Patralekh has announced a grant of Rs. 15 lakh for the installation of CCTV in the Vasukinath Dham area. The CM said that folk painting should be done on the walls of all toilets. To clean up the entire area, 400 cleaning workers should be deployed. He said that there will be health check-ups camps for Kanwariyas and instructed to ensure arrangements for drinking water with water tanks etc. Additionally, he asked the officials that all the shops of Vasukinath Dham should be well organized and beautify Mansarovar reservoir.

Ministers Amar Kumar Bauri, Louis Marandi, Godda MP Nishikant Dubey and MLA Badal Patralekh gave important suggestions in the meeting. Deoghar and Dumka Deputy Commissioner gave information about preparations through a presentation.
