Fake Job Promises In Government Dupe Individuals of Rs 5-7 Lakh
The accused promised jobs in railways, and other government departments while even issuing fake joining letters

Delhi: Two men have been arrested by police on charges of duping youngsters in the name of job promises in the central government departments including Railways, Ministry of communications and IT and Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangathan.
The accused men recognized as Uttam Kumar and Sachit Kumar Rana have been allegedly involved in forging identity cards of central government ministries and running a fake employment scam.
The two men allegedly charged somewhere around Rs 5 to 7 lakh from each individual and their targets were employed people from Delhi, UP and Rajasthan promising them a central government job, according to PS Kushwah, Deputy Commissioner Of Police as quoted by PTI.
Uttam Kumar, one of the accused from Tilak Nagar in Delhi used to claim himself to be an officer of the central government and also had fake identity card of ministries. The police also added that ‘stamps of various ministers and other departments were recovered from their possession.’
Uttam and Sachin were detained from Lakshmi Nagar in Delhi when they had arrived there in a car. Uttam was carrying two fake identity cards in his name supposedly issued from the central government and another seven joining letters of Railways for different candidates were seized, PS Kushwah added.
The police have confirmed that that the accused confessed about the fake joining letters and they used to cheat unemployed youth by promising them government jobs.
Sachit had prepared these fake joining letters on advice of Uttam, who had worked for a government agency on a contract basis in 2003. Again, he worked on a contract basis as a field officer in various government offices and got familiar with the paper work and the working process in government sector.
The police added that he came in contact with some people in 2017, and started the racket of cheating young innocent people looking for employment on the promise of hiring in government jobs.
