Gyan Vani, Pune, an educational FM
Radio network providing programmes covering different aspects and levels of
education including Primary and Secondary Education, Adult Education, Technical and vocational Education, Higher Education and Extension Education started for the learners of Pune city and the adjoining areas from July 1, said an official release from Indira Gandhi National Open University.
"Gyan Vani will broadcast only education and development programmes at 105.6 MHz, through
Aakashwani (All India Radio). The need-based educational radio programmes, both live and recorded, are being developed with the help of expertise available in the country. Gyan Vani, Pune at the moment would broadcast the programmes of Gyan Vani, Delhi every day from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM. The monthly schedule of Gyan Vani Programmes get uploaded on the website at http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/bulletinboard/announcements/latest/detail/Gyanvani_Delhi_Monthly_Schedule-1972 ," said Masood Parveez, senior regional director,
IGNOU Regional Centre, Pune in a written statement.
Parveez further said in the statement, "There shall be live Interactive Radio Counselling (IRC) sessions. During the live IRC the learners interact / ask questions to the experts at the Gyan Vani Studio at the telephone numbers: Toll Free Number: 1800112347, General Number: 011 - 29533103. They can interact through chat at the email ID gyandhara@ignou.ac.in. Gyandhara is an internet audio counselling service offered by IGNOU. There is a need to install Puffin Browser to access Gyandhara through mobile device."
