Army launches plantation drive at Niwaru military station

corps' commanding R K Jagga today launched a plantation drive by planting a sapling at Niwaru military station here.

A total of 12,000 saplings of different varieties will be planted in the recently established military station.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagga laid out the vision of developing the Niwaru military station as one of the green lungs of city.

On the sidelines of the campaign, of Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) inaugurated the at the military station, Col said.

The school has been established as part of the infrastructure development and will benefit the wards of serving soldiers, ex-servicemen and civilians living in the area, the said.
