2 cyber criminals held in Giridih

Two youth were arrested for allegedly duping people by posing as officials from the Bank and gaining details of their bank accounts, SDPO, Giridih Manish Toppo said today.

Recently a complaint was submitted by a someone in which they stated that they received a call from an unknown number and the person pretended to be an employee from the SBI, they added.

The employee stated that her bank account was to be linked with Aadhaar card. They shared their ATM card details along with the OTP received at their registered mobile phone.

During investigation, details were obtained from the bank concerned and it was found that the fraudster had transferred the amount to different e-wallet.

After getting the tip-off from senior officials a team of Ahilayapur and Taratard police were sent to Piprasindha area just besides of Jhinjhari Pahari temple and found two youths were busy in online fraud.The local police trapped both of them identified as Anand Deo Mandal belonging to village Lataya Narayanpur while another namely Santosh Mandal residents of Karmatard.Police have also seized 5 no of mobiles and 5 sim card from their possession.They have later finding some details transaction from recovered mobiles .
