Sir — The Thailand Government as well as the members involved in the rescue operation of 12 young boys and their coach who were rescued from a flooded Thai cave after spending 18 harrowing days deserve all complimnets. It is unlikely that a rescue operation of this magnitude has been attempted before. The success of this endeavor is all the more significant because survival rate in such incidents is very abysmal.

This remarkable operation displayed the triumph of human will, and proved that a lot can be achieved if technology is used to its advantage.
