CHENNAI: The
World Tamil Organisation has honoured Chennai-based
lawyer Gladys Daniel with the 'Excellence Award of Professionals' in law category for 2018.
Daniel, partner and advocate at Daniel & Gladys law firm in Chennai, received the award from Canada's first Tamil MP Radhika Sitsabiesan during an award ceremony organised in the British Parliament Committee Room 14, House of Commons, London, on June 28.
The World Tamil Organisation is a charity based in the
UK that honours the services rendered by Tamil people from across the globe in various walks of life.
The organisation works alongside Virendra Sharma, MP, UK, chairman of the Indo British All Party Parliamentary Group Patron, and Nia Griffith, MP, UK, shadow secretary to secretary of state for defence, UK Patron.
The nominations for the award are sent to the parliamentary committee which finalises the recipients of the award.
Daniel & Gladys advocates has been specialising in Intellectual Property Right (IPR) law since 1973. Gladys Daniel, partner and advocate, joined the firm in 2000 and has since practised primarily in the Madras high court and in various other high courts and in the Supreme Court.
