New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday restrained the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation from evicting the flat owners of Krushna Complex in Nerul area until next hearing on July 20.
Jayesh Gulabrao Kamdar and others have come to the Apex Court, challenging the municipal’s notice to demolish the building constructed without permission of the planning authority on the land actually reserved for garden and public facilities.
The Bench of Justices Abhay Manohar Sapre and Uday Umesh Lalit also asked the petitioners to file the July 6 order of the Bombay High Court.On July 3, 2017, the High Court had accepted the petitioners’ plea that they will vacate the premises within one year, asking the municipal to evict them taking police help, if necessary, if they do not move out of the building by June 30, 2018.
