Two IndiGo planes narrowly obviated a mid-air collision on July 10, over Bengaluru airspace. The planes were dangerously close and less than a minute away from each other.

According to IndiGo, "Traffic Collision Advisory system was triggered on the aircrafts perating Coimbatore-Hyderabad and Bangalore-Cochin routes respectively on July 10. Following normal procedure this has been reported to the regulator."

All passengers on board were deboarded safely.

In February a mid-air disaster was averted in the Mumbai air space when a Vistara aircraft came perilously close to an Air India plane, prompting the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) to launch a probe.
