Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Ajay Singh alleged that to achieve political gains Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan under poor financial condition of the state would organize Jan Ashirwad Yatra July 14 which would cost around Rs 305 crore to the state.

He said that CM Chouhan should organize this ‘yatra’ from party fund which would be completed on September 25 and as the ‘yatra’ is estimated to cost more than Rs 300 crore which is not affordable under the current situations.

In a letter to Chief Election Commissioner, Ajay Singh has demanded to ban extravagance state sponsored ‘yatra’ aiming to achieve political objectives before imposing of code of conduct and states where elections are scheduled should be provided with these instructions.

The Chief Minister is working as BJP leader and not as a Chief Minister of a state. In order to achieve success he is neglecting welfare on the state.

The state is witnessing ‘Financial Emergency’ as 63 departments are facing problems in making payments, Pensioners are not provided with pension and under such situation spending. Rs 305 crore is making the situations more worsening and shameful.

He further alleged that the Urja Vikas Parv is a political programme which witnesses foundation laying ceremony and inauguration of works of Rs 5000 crore. In the past 14 years BJP forgot foundation laying ceremony and inauguration of works.

Another example of undemocratic ruling was inviting of BJP MLA for Video Conferencing with Chief Minister on July 9.

Urja Vikas Parv is not required as the documents of verification have been collected and scheme has been availed by beneficiaries but still government money is spent on organizing the programme and distributing certificate to the beneficiaries who have availed the scheme.
