Consul General of Canada in Mumbai Jordan Reeves met representatives of Indian pulses industry here and discussed opportunities to increase trade between the two countries.
During the meeting, Reeves and other Canadian officials discussed various issues, including the import and export of pulses and its processing, with the Indian representatives, said All India Dal Mill Association president Suresh Agrawal.
Canada exports peas and masoor (split red lentil) to India.
The meeting took place in a local hotel last night.
"Reeves informed us about the current scenario of production of peas and masoor in Canada. The discussions were also held over increasing trade between both the countries," Agrawal said.
