NMC fines 4 traders for keeping banned plastic products

Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Thursday fined three traders after the civic body’s flying squad found banned plastic products in their business establishments.
The squad from Dharampeth zone conducted raids at three shops in different areas. After seizing 3.7kg of banned products, the squad recovered Rs5,000 fine each from the three traders.

A squad from Laxmi Nagar zone led by its zonal officer (sanitation) and comprising sanitary inspector and civic cops found banned plastic carry bags weighing 300gm at a eating joint on Wardha Road. The squad then imposed a fine of Rs5,000 and also seized the bags.
