BJP national president Amit Shah, enumerating a series good works having taken place under the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre, infused confidence among party’s young workers and volunteers and told them to disseminate right information among the voters up to the grassroots.

Keeping an eye on the Lok Sabha election preparations, Shah was on one-day trip to Jharkhand on Wednesday where among others he addressed BJP volunteers linked with the information technology cell. Referring them as ‘cyber yoddhas’, he went on rapping the Opposition for spreading negativity by flocking together.

“There are some groups which are spreading falsehood against us. I felt that morale of party workers is a bit down which disappoints me. I also blame myself for that because I could not make the level of communication with them which I should have. Right now I am on this mission only. The Modi Government has done nothing in these four years which would make you ashamed. What is required is to use tools of social media with planning and promptness to counter the falsehood being spread because common people as such have no problem with us,” said the BJP chief.

Coming down heavily against the parties in Opposition who showed their strength together at a single platform in Karnataka recently after Assembly elections, Shah referred the group as of ‘thieves’.

“Chanakya philosophy says if all thieves come together that means the king is authentic…. During the oath ceremony in Karnataka all the leaders came together. All those had fought against us in 2014. We came to power by defeating them. Who is going to listen to Mamata Banerjee here in Ranchi or Chandrababu in Jamshedpur! All of them are state level leaders not having clout anywhere near to Narendra Modi,” stated Shah, ideating the youths about drawing caricature of the ‘mismatched’ alliance and spread it through social media platforms.

He also said that the parties like Congress and others in the Opposition camp had no right to ask any question from the BJP Government at the Centre and in Jharkhand. “You should counter such propaganda by asking what has the Congress done in last 70 years? What the Congress did by making Madhu Koda chief minister in Jharkhand? Congress president Rahul Gandhi has his twitter followers from outside India. He does propaganda through hired persons. They cannot defeat us with those ‘bhade ke tattoos’. We have run a decisive Government with all sensitivity and firmness,” Shah added further referring to the schemes like Ujjwala, Saubhagya, housing for poor, toilet construction and also the surgical strike taken place across the LoC.

The party chief in the process stressed over the importance of the social media in winning elections and suggested the workers to use the medium in interesting ways to catch attention of the people with multiplier effect. “We at the party level have the list of five smartphone holders at every booth. You need to reach up to them through social media instantly after anything happens. Provide them right information with proper research against the misinformation being spread and percolate down the line,” he said sharing some tips with them.

State BJP president Laxman Gilua, Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Union Ministers Jayant Sinha and Sudarshan Bhagat, former chief minister Arjun Munda, chief of the party’s social media cell Amit Malviya and other senior leaders were present on the occasion.
