Gundicha temple kitchen to get 26 exhaust fans

The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) would install 26 exhaust fans in the Kothabhog kitchen of Sri Gundicha temple after repair works in the temple are completed.

PURI: The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) would install 26 exhaust fans in the Kothabhog kitchen of Sri Gundicha temple after repair works in the temple are completed.The temple complex has been given a facelift ahead of the nine-day Rath Yatra of the Trinity, said chief administrator PK Mahapatra on Wednesday. He added that five donation boxes would be placed at different places within the temple complex while more boxes would be placed on four sides of each chariots to enable devotees to give donations. The entire Gundicha temple and parking space for the three chariots have been placed under CCTV surveillance. 

Mahapatra informed that CCTVs will be installed at the Lions’ Gate of Jagannath temple during Bahuda, Suna Besha and Niladri Bije.The Daita and other servitors have assured the temple administration to open the sick room gate by 8 am on Friday and if everything goes as per schedule, the deities would give Nabajouban ‘darshan’ to public for three hours on the day.
