Solar Eclipse on Friday the 13th

On Friday the 13th, there will be a spectacular opportunity to view partial solar eclipse. During a partial solar eclipse, the moon, the sun and earth don't align in a perfectly straight line, and the moon casts only the outer part of its shadow on earth. There are three distinct phases or stages of partial solar eclipse. Firstly, the moon starts moving over the Sun's disk and blocks the sun. Then the eclipse reaches its maximum magnitude. And lastly the moon fully passes away from the sun, and stops covering it. Be sure to get a glimpse of the solar eclipse, but as always, you will need to look at the sun with proper eye protection.
