LUCKNOW: Even as a controversy has erupted over moving an ‘ailing’
Munna Bajrangi from
Jhansi to
Baghpat jail, TOI has found that a child specialist and an
anaesthetist were the two medicos who travelled with him despite a court order seeking his mandatory medical fitness before allowing his journey for court appearance.
Dr A K Singh, a paediatrician, and Dr Anand Mani Shukla, an anaesthetist, were the two doctors who travelled with him in the ambulance on Sunday evening from Jhansi to Baghpat.
TOI on Wednesday had revealed that a Baghpat court had mandated Bajrangi's medical fitness test while accepting his plea that he suffers from eight illnesses, including cardiac problems and spondylitis. Shukla told TOI that they were not aware of his medical history and were informed at around 9 am on Sunday that they had to accompany Bajrangi to Baghpat.
Bajrangi’s family has accused UP Police of coercing doctors to provide a fake medical fitness report.
