JALANDHAR: Police arrested a
head constable on charges of drug peddling and seized 4g
heroin and around Rs 45,000 cash from him on Monday evening. Police commissioner Parveen Sinha said Sukhdev Singh was arrested on a tip off. “He has been indulging in drug peddling and was also an addict,” he said. Sources said that during preliminary investigations Sukhdev had named a some cops to whom he was supplying drugs. The arrested cop was produced in a local court and was remanded to police custody.
