Nearly 2,000 sadhus, monks and religious leaders from across the country would participate in the Dharma Samsad to be held in Kanyadi Srirama Kshetra near Dharmasthala on September 3, said Kshetra’s Peetadhipati Brahmananda Saraswati here on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters, he said that the Dharma Samsad was being held to mark the celebration of the 10th year of Brahmananda Saraswati’s ascension as Peetadhipati of the Kshetra.
The event will be inaugurated by Dharmadhikari of Shrikshetra Dharmastala D. Veerandra Heggade. Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of Pejawar Mutt, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, the former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and a few Union Ministers will participate, he said.
The Peetadhipati said that sadhus and sants from different parts of the country will come to Kanyadi on September 2. They will take part in the Shoba Yatra on September 3 at 9 a.m.
The Dharma Samsad will be held at 11 a.m. He said that the Dharma Samsad will discuss the formation of the “Rashtriya Loka Kalyan Manch” that will deliberate issues concerning religion and give suggestions to governments.
