The Delhi University (DU) is all set to release its fifth cut-off list today i.e on July 11, for admission to various undergraduate (UG) courses for the academic session 2018-2019. Once the lists are out, the applicants will be able to check their status on DU’s official website; du.ac.in. Hopes of over thousands of students are tied to this list as it is probably their last chance to get admission in the university.
Meanwhile, the individual colleges have started publishing its DU 5th cut-off list on their respective websites. Out of 56,000 seats in Delhi University, 50,000 have been filled by students. Following the fourth DU cut-off 2018 which was released on July 6, only 6,000 seats are remaining. This year, the varsity received as many as 3 lakh applicants from across the country to take admissions in various colleges under Delhi University. Some media reports are claiming that Hindu College had no vacancies left after the 4th cutoff for the academic year 2018-19.
Moreover, Ramjas closed admissions to its B.Com Honours and programme courses for the unreserved category. Admissions for BA Programme and Honours courses in economics, English, political science and mathematics at JMC are also closed. After the release of the fourth cut-off, 49,000 seats were filled.
