Bizman’s driver looted of Rs 1.2L

Bikers looted away Rs 1.2 lakh from a pickup van driver at gunpoint at Salajanga chhak under the Balanga police station in Puri district on Monday night.

Driver Manash Ranjan Mohanty and other 3 staff of Raghunath Mohanty grocery wholesaler, Nimapara were returning from shop when two miscreants coming on motorbike intercepted them at Salajanga and snatched away the cash bag showing a gun.

Pipili SDPO Dillp Kumar Thipathy along with Balanga police rushed to the spot, but could not get any information regarding the miscreants.

Notably, though three loot incidents have occurred at the same place during the last one year, the police have not been able to arrest any miscreant.
